A saxophonist, I have taught jazz history and performance at the university level, hosted jazz radio programs, edited a magazine for jazz journalists, and written articles and reviews for numerous jazz publications (Jazz Times, Jazz Forum, Jazz Notes, Jazz Education Journal, Jazz.Com., Annual Review of Jazz Studies) and non-jazz academic journals. I am at the present time a retired university arts dean and a contributor to Cadence. |
