Scott is a pianist/ composer/ educator residing in Detroit, MI. He has played with jazz greats: among others, Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman, Jimmy Heath, John Clayton, and Jon Hendricks. From 04-07, Scott was music director for legendary vocalist Hendricks. Scott has been featured on many recordings, and has just released "Brush Fire", from the award-winning 16-piece Scott Gwinnell Jazz Orchestra. Scott and the SGJO have been presented with awards from Det Music Awards, IAJE, and Downbeat Magazine. |
