| Description: | As of 2/5/2009 I am getting together the final production points to a 2 hour (proposed) jazz show at the CSB School of Broadcasting's web-site. I am a new graduate of the school and hope to have a show that will play a mixture of the new artists without pushing aside the greats that came before us. Target date is late Feb. More info when my Program Director and I work out the details. Jess |

I am going to host a radio show (internet radio to begin with) which will feature tunes and discussion. As I am open to listener’s suggestions, one of the thoughts I had was to have a theme sometimes…For instance, I might focus on a certain year in jazz history and discuss what albums were released while playing some of them. This would evolve into what these artists are doing now, and how these players might influence today’s artists.
What I really want to do is to integrate the present and the past in a seamless timeline. Sometimes the show will only have music, listeners, and me. Other times I will try to get musicians in the studio to help me play some of their favorite tunes as well as educate me.
My step-father is Bill Atwood, a well known trumpet player in the late 60’s early 70’s out in San Fran. One of my favorite things to do is listen to him talk about events that happened during shows, recording sessions, etc. I am fascinated by the history and the making of jazz albums and hope to pass my enthusiasm on to my listeners.
This show will definately be listener driven.
Keep checking back with me as I will have more information to add. Right now if you have any suggestions for me you can email me at rejess@verizon.net
Thanks,
Jess
